As FXTM’s reputation in Nigeria grows, so does the popularity of its Market Analysis Team. From January 30^th until the 1^st of February, FXTM’s Research Analyst, Lukman Otunuga, met up with some of the country’s leading media outlets to discuss potential developments in the global markets and what’s in store for FXTM in 2017.

During his visit, the analyst conducted 1-2-1 interviews with several print media outlets, including; ThisDay, Business Day, The Vanguard, Nigeria Comm, Week and The Cable. He also sat down with journalists from The Guardian – one of Nigeria’s most prestigious newspapers, and New Telegraph – a renowned local and international newspaper.

This high profile media tour was capped-off with an appearance at Africa’s biggest television network, NTA 2 (Nigerian Television Authority). Lukman was invited to give his outlook on the global market movements and how they could affect Nigeria. He provided opinions and insights on:

• Diversification of the economy.
• Economic policies rolled out by the American government.
• How Nigeria can take advantage of the latest policy changes.
• Devaluation of the Naira.

In November 2016, the #FXTMbasejump project concluded with Red Bull athlete, Valery Rozov, conquering a world-record in BASE jumping. The jump was performed from mount Cho Oyu in China at 7700metres, following a series of trainings and expeditions in various countries around the world.

After sharing his experience with Chinese and International media, Valery was invited to look back on the journey to the world-record at the GMT BBC World News show on the 12^th of January, 2017. The renowned BASE jumper was invited for two interviews, where the second also featured the athlete’s oldest son, Andrey Rozov.

FXTM’s VP of Corporate Development and Market Research, Jameel Ahmad, recently concluded a new media tour in Malaysia – providing expert market insights in a country with a rapidly-developing economy. At the end of November, Jameel took part in a roundtable discussion and a series of one-to-one interviews and television appearances, with most of the topics concentrating on the state of the Ringgit amidst global political developments.

Discussing the markets with some of Malaysia’s most popular financial media outlets – among them Capital TV, Bernama TV, BFM, Sin Chew Daily, The Edge TV, The Sun and Business Today – Jameel represented the FXTM brand and shared his expertise on topics that are currently making the biggest headlines.

On the 23^rd of November, FXTM’s Vice President of Corporate Development and Market Research, Jameel Ahmad, successfully completed a 3-day media tour with some of Indonesia’s leading financial news outlets. The market expert met up with Bisnis Indonesia, Media Indonesia, SWA, Jawa Pos, Koran Jakarta, Metrotvnews.com and Sindonews, and others, at the Hotel Indonesia in Jakarta. He also had an exclusive interview with Okezone.com, one of Indonesia’s most respected online news portals.

The tour gave an opportunity for local media to become more familiar with the FXTM brand as it evolves into a key player in the forex industry in Indonesia. They also received market insights directly from Jameel, who gave them an outlook on all current and future developments that could potentially influence the financial world.

Between October 23 and November 10, the two FXTM market experts discussed some of the biggest headlines with the country’s leading business media outlets, including CCTV-NEWS, Bloomberg, Reuters, Hexun and Caixin.

Jameel also had the honour to represent FXTM in a special appearance at the famous Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in Beijing. Addressing MBA students, the VP discussed macro-economic trends, the performance of the renminbi and many other important topics. It was during this time that FXTM also held a free educational seminar in Shanghai, presented by Head of Education, Andreas Thalassinos, on October 23^rd 2016.  

Jameel’s speech, together with the seminar in Shanghai, falls directly in line with FXTM’s core mission to providing education on the financial markets to professionals and novice traders alike.

As part of the conclusion of the FXTMbasejump project, FXTM’s VP of Corporate Development and Market Research Jameel Ahmad and local Market Analyst, Yue Zhong, were joined in a press conference and a media tour by the legendary and twice world-record breaking BASE jumper, Valery Rozov.

The press conference took place in the Park Hyayt hotel in Beijing, on October 26^th where 16 of China’s most prominent News and Sports news media outlets, such as: Tencent Sports, Sohu Outdoor, Channel 5 and Hexun, got the story of FXTM’s collaboration and the world-record straight from the BASE jumper himself.

Valery’s media tour also included an interview with Beijing Media Network’s – BTV-Sports and was also featured on the “Good Morning Beijing” show on BTV 1. The reporters were taken through the entire journey of the FXTMbasejump project, which began in the FXTM offices in July and reached zenith in China.

Following the presentation, guests were given the unique opportunity for a look at the world-record jump footage which was then proceeded by a demonstration of how Valery puts on his wingsuit and were given the chance to take photos with the athlete.

The day ended with a Q&A session, were reporters could ask the BASE jumper additional questions and get more information on FXTM, the project, and Valery’s future plans.
